Trebuchet TBT-7K

The TBT-7K is a 50-ton medium refit that turns the Trebuchet toward long-range sniping, a marked shift from the TBT-3C's missile-boat role of 2780. Where the original massed twin LRM 15 racks and four medium lasers, the 3025 rebuild carries a single PPC in the right torso, an AC/5 in the left torso, and an SRM 2 in the right arm for closer work. The Artemis IV fire-control systems and CASE installations of the TBT-3C are gone, and standard internal structure and a standard 250 fusion engine replace the earlier endo steel frame and 300 XL fusion plant, dropping cruising speed from 65 to 54 km/h and top speed from 97 to 86. Heat sinks drop from ten double to 11 single units. The type remains an easily-serviced design, refitted by Kong Interstellar at Dieron.
