Trebuchet TBT-5S

The Trebuchet TBT-5S is a 50-ton skirmisher, a 2864 refit of the 2780 TBT-3C missile boat. In place of the left-arm and right-torso LRM 15 racks, it carries SRM 6 launchers in the same locations, and the center-torso medium laser found on the TBT-3C is missing, leaving three medium lasers split between the arms. The Artemis IV fire-control systems and CASE fittings of the original are absent, and standard internal structure replaces the earlier endo steel. A 250 fusion engine replaces the 300 XL, and cruising speed falls from 65 km/h to 54, with top speed down to 86 from 97. Eighteen single heat sinks replace the ten double sinks of the TBT-3C. The design carries over as an easily-serviced design, refit at Irian by Irian BattleMechs Unlimited.
