Quickdraw QKD-8X

The Quickdraw QKD-8X is a 60-ton sniper, a 3073 rework of the 2779 QKD-4G that fought as a skirmisher. Where the earlier machine carried a medium laser in each arm, an LRM 10 in the left torso, and an SRM 4 in the center torso, the 8X strips all three out and mounts a single PPC and a TAG unit, both in the head, while the two rear-facing medium lasers stay in the right torso. Endo steel structure and Triple-Strength myomer replace the QKD-4G's standard components, letting the 8X push a boosted cruising speed of 76 km/h when the myomer runs hot, though it gives up the jump jets of the original. Stealth armor covers the frame in place of standard plate, and a Guardian ECM suite sits in the right torso alongside a rear-mounted lift hoist in the left torso and a head turret in the center torso; the hyper-extending arm actuators of the base design carry over.
