Quickdraw QKD-8K

The QKD-8K is a 60-ton heavy that fights close-in to stand-off range, cruising at 54 km/h and topping out near 86, with a jump capability of 150 metres. Where the QKD-4G original of 2779 carried four Medium Lasers split between the arms and rear torso along with an LRM 10 and an SRM 4, this 3064 rebuild strips that mixed loadout for an ER Medium Laser in each arm and a pair of ER Medium Lasers in the left torso, backed by an MRM 30 in the right torso with CASE. Endo steel structure and ferro-fibrous armor replace the standard structure and armor of the original, and 12 double heat sinks stand in place of the earlier 13 single sinks. The type retains its hyper-extending arm actuators, and Luthien Armor Works builds it at Luthien.
