Hermes II HER-7S

The Hermes II HER-7S is a 40-ton medium that fights as a sniper, cruising at 86 km/h and reaching 130 km/h, with a jump capability of 240 metres — a departure from the HER-2S's scouting role and its slower 65/97 km/h profile. Where the 2798 original carried a Flamer, Medium Laser, and AC/5, this 3077 rebuild fields an ER Flamer in the left arm, a Light PPC in the right arm, and a Large Pulse Laser in the right torso, and mounts a Clan targeting computer in the center torso. A 320 Inner Sphere XXL fusion engine and Inner Sphere composite structure account for the added speed, and 10 Inner Sphere double heat sinks stand in place of the base's single sinks. It carries enhanced communications gear and is noted as an easily-serviced design. Irian BattleMechs Unlimited builds it at Shiro III.
