Hermes II HER-5SA

The HER-5SA rebuilds the Hermes II as a 40-ton striker, where the 2798 HER-2S served as a scout, though it holds the same 65 km/h cruising and 97 km/h top speeds on a 240 XL fusion engine in place of the standard 240 fusion unit. In place of the medium laser, the right arm now carries a Large Pulse Laser, and the AC/5 in the right torso gives way to an Ultra AC/5; the flamer in the left arm carries over from the HER-2S. Endo steel structure replaces the standard framework, and the heat-sink count of 10 shifts from single to double sinks. The enhanced communications gear and easily-serviced design carry over from the original, and Irian BattleMechs Unlimited continues to build the type at Shiro III.
