Hermes II HER-7A

The HER-7A is a 40-ton medium fielded in the sniper role, cruising at 65 km/h with a top speed of 97. Where the HER-2S carries a Medium Laser and an AC/5, this variant swaps in a Medium X-Pulse Laser in the right arm and an Ultra AC/10 in the right torso, with the Flamer carried over unchanged in the left arm. Inner Sphere endo steel replaces the base model's standard internal structure, and 10 Inner Sphere double heat sinks replace its 10 single heat sinks, while a 240 Inner Sphere light fusion engine stands in for the earlier standard fusion plant of the same rating. Inner Sphere CASE II is fitted in the right torso, and the type retains its enhanced communications gear and easily-serviced design; it is built by Irian BattleMechs Unlimited.
