Hermes II HER-6D

The HER-6D is a 40-ton striker that fights close in, a 3062 field refit of the 2798 HER-2S built on the same 240 fusion engine and holding to a cruising speed of 65 km/h and a top speed of 97. In place of the Medium Laser the right arm carries an ER Medium Laser, and the Rotary AC/5 in the right torso replaces the original AC/5; the Flamer stays in the left arm. Endo steel internal structure replaces the standard structure of the HER-2S, and the ten heat sinks are now double rather than single. It keeps the enhanced communications gear and the easily-serviced design of the original, and is assembled at various sites as a field refit rather than a factory-built machine.
