Hermes HER-4S

The HER-4S refits the Hermes as a 30-ton striker, a role shift from the HER-1S scout of 2632. Where the original mounted a Flamer in the left arm and a Medium Laser in the right arm and center torso, the 4S carries a Medium Pulse Laser in each of those same locations. An XL fusion engine replaces the standard fusion plant while holding the same cruising speed of 97 km/h and top speed of 151 km/h, and MASC in the left torso lets it sprint to 194 km/h when engaged. A Guardian ECM suite sits in the right torso, and the double heat sinks replace the single heat sinks of the earlier model. The type keeps its enhanced communications gear and its stable firing platform, and Irian BattleMechs Unlimited builds it at Irian.
