Hermes HER-4K

The HER-4K rebuilds the Hermes as a close-in striker, where the HER-1S served as a scout. In place of the Flamer and single Medium Laser in the arms, it fields a pair of ER Medium Lasers in each arm, and the Medium Laser in the center torso becomes two ER Medium Lasers there, with an ER Small Laser added in the right torso. Double heat sinks replace the single heat sinks of the original, and an extra-light fusion engine of the same 270 rating drives the same 97 km/h cruising and 151 km/h top speeds; MASC in the left torso lets it sprint to 194 km/h when engaged. The left torso also carries a C3 slave unit, and a Guardian ECM suite sits in the right torso alongside the ER Small Laser. It keeps its enhanced communications gear and stands as a stable firing platform, and Irian BattleMechs Unlimited builds it at Irian.
