Vulcan VT-5M

The Vulcan VT-5M is a 40-ton striker, a 3050 rebuild of the 2777 VL-2T that trades reach for punch at closer quarters. In place of the medium laser in the left torso it carries a medium pulse laser, and the AC/2 in the right torso gives way to a large pulse laser, while the machine gun in the left arm and the flamer in the right arm carry over unchanged. An endo steel structure replaces the base model's standard framework, and the heat-sink count rises from 10 single to 11 double, all on the same 240 fusion engine and cruising at 65 km/h with a top speed near 97. It keeps the low, hard-to-target silhouette of the original. Nimakachi Fusion Products Ltd. builds it at Tematagi.
