Vulcan VLC-8N

The Vulcan VLC-8N is an 80-ton fighter flown in the attack role, rebuilt around an XL engine and Ferro-Aluminum armor in place of the VLC-3N's fusion plant and Primitive Fighter plate. The single Medium Laser in the nose gives way to two Large Pulse Lasers, an ER Medium Laser, and an Artemis IV FCS feeding the SRM 6 that carries over from the VLC-3N. The twin Autocannon/10s in the right wing and left wing are gone, replaced by a Light Gauss Rifle in each wing, and the Medium Laser in the aft position becomes an ER Medium Laser. Sixteen double heat sinks cool the type, up from the VLC-3N's thirteen single heat sinks. Geenock Aero Manufacturing Ltd. builds it at Firgrove, with additional production at Colorado and Axton.
