Orion ON1-MD

The ON1-MD is a 75-ton brawler, a 3062 field refit of the 2453 ON1-C original. Where the ON1-C mounts an AC/5 in the right torso, this variant fields a Rotary AC/5 there, and adds an LRM 20 alongside a medium laser in the left arm, an SRM 4 in the left torso, and a Narc in the center torso; the medium laser in the right arm carries over from the ON1-C. A lighter 300 XL fusion engine replaces the ON1-C's 360 fusion engine, with cruising speed holding at 43 km/h and top speed near 65. Standard armor replaces the base's primitive plating, and 11 double heat sinks replace the 10 single sinks, while CASE lines both the left torso and the right torso. The type carries anti-aircraft fire control and a rugged, field-serviceable frame, and is assembled as a field refit at various sites.
