Recognition Notes
The Mongoose MON-86 is a 25-ton striker, reworked from the MON-66 scout that came before it in 3078. A lighter 225 XL fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 86 to 97 km/h and top speed from 130 to 151 km/h. In place of the center torso medium laser, the MON-86 carries a Light PPC in that location, and an ER Small Laser is added in the right torso alongside the medium lasers in each arm and the small laser in the head. A Beagle active probe sits in the left torso, and the type remains a command 'Mech. Diplan 'MechYards builds it at Aix-la-Chapelle.
