Recognition Notes
The MON-68 is a 25-ton scout, a 3039 field refit of the 2660 MON-66 original that trades its scouting sensors for stand-off firepower. In place of the three medium lasers and the Small Laser in the head, it carries a single Large Laser in the right arm, and the Beagle active probe is gone. A lighter 175 fusion engine replaces the base model's 200, dropping cruising speed from 86 km/h to 76 km/h and top speed from 130 to 119. Standard armor replaces the MON-66's ferro-fibrous plating, and the design remains a command 'Mech. It is assembled at various sites as a field refit rather than at a single dedicated factory.
