Mongoose MON-76

The Mongoose MON-76 is a 25-ton striker that closes to short range, a role shift from the MON-66's scouting brief of 2660. In place of the three medium lasers it carries three Medium Pulse Lasers, one in each arm and one in the center torso, with the Small Laser in the head carrying over. The 200 fusion engine is replaced by a 200 XL fusion engine, and double heat sinks replace the base model's single heat sinks, though cruising speed holds at 86 km/h and top speed at 130; a MASC system in the center torso pushes sprint speed to 173 km/h when engaged. A Guardian ECM suite in the left torso replaces the Beagle active probe, and the type remains a command 'Mech. Diplan 'Mechyards builds the MON-76 at its Aix-la-Chapelle plant.
