Longbow LGB-8V

The LGB-8V is an 85-ton missile boat that fights at long range, cruising at 32 km/h and topping out near 54, unchanged from the 2480 LGB-0C in raw movement despite a lighter 255 XL fusion engine replacing the original's 310 fusion plant. Where the LGB-0C carried an LRM 20 in each arm, the LGB-8V mounts an Arrow IV in each torso, and its arms are gone entirely, leaving an armless configuration. A pair of Medium Pulse Laser mounts sit alongside the Arrow IV launchers in the side torsos, in place of the LGB-0C's Medium Laser pair, and an ER Large Laser fills the center torso where the older machine carried only a Small Laser in the head. CASE now lines both side torsos, and anti-aircraft fire control has been added alongside the fixed searchlight carried over from the original. StarCorps Industries builds the type at Crofton, with additional production at Emris IV and Loburg.
