Longbow LGB-8C

The Longbow LGB-8C is an 85-ton missile boat that fights at long range, a 2615 rework of the 2480 LGB-0C. It keeps the paired LRM 20 racks in the arms, but where the original mounted a single medium laser in each torso and a small laser in the head, this variant adds a second, rear-facing medium laser in each torso along with an LRM 5, and drops the head-mounted small laser. A lighter 255 fusion engine replaces the 310 fusion engine of the original without changing the cruising speed of 32 km/h or the top speed of 54 km/h. Standard armor replaces the primitive plating of the LGB-0C, and the heat-sink count rises from 15 single to 20 single. Anti-aircraft fire control replaces the enhanced communications gear of the original; the minimal, weapon-pod arms without hands and the fixed searchlight carry over.
