Recognition notes
The Awesome AWS-9M is an 80-ton brawler, a 3049 rebuild of the 2665 AWS-8Q sniper baseline. Where the AWS-8Q mounts three standard PPCs, the AWS-9M carries ER PPCs in the same right-arm, left-torso, and right-torso positions, and it carries a Streak SRM 2 in the left arm and a Streak SRM 2 in the center torso alongside a medium pulse laser in the center torso. A small pulse laser sits in the head in place of the small laser. A 320 XL fusion engine raises cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, and the heat-sink fit changes from 28 single to 20 double units. The left arm carries a reinforced battle fist. Technicron Manufacturing builds the type at Savannah, with production also underway at other sites.
