The AWS-8T is an 80-ton assault, a 2815 field-refit reworking of the 2665 AWS-8Q sniper into a missile boat. Where the AWS-8Q mounted three PPCs, this configuration carries a Large Laser in each arm and an LRM 15 in each torso, with the Small Laser in the head carried over unchanged. The heat-sink count falls from 28 to 23 single sinks, reflecting the lighter energy armament, while the 240 fusion engine and standard armor remain the same hardware as before. A reinforced battle fist on the left arm persists as the type's visible identifier. Cruising at 32 km/h and topping out at 54, it is slow for its weight, and being a field refit it carries no fixed manufacturer, having been converted at various sites rather than built new at a dedicated factory.
