The Shadow Hawk SHD-5M is a 55-ton missile boat that fights at long range, cruising at 54 km/h and topping out near 86, a marked gain over the 2467 SHD-1R's 43 and 65 km/h. A 275 XL fusion engine replaces the earlier 240 fusion powerplant, endo steel internal structure replaces the standard framing, and standard armor replaces the SHD-1R's primitive plating. Jump range grows to 150 metres from 90. In place of the AC/5 in the left torso it carries an Ultra AC/5, and it adds an LRM 20 in the right torso and a Streak SRM 2 in the head; the medium laser stays in the right arm. CASE lines the left torso, and the ten heat sinks are double rather than single. Both arms carry reinforced battle fists on a rugged, field-serviceable frame, and Earthwerks-FWL Inc. builds it at Calloway VI.
