Grendel (Mongrel) M

The Grendel (Mongrel) M is a 45-ton striker that trims the Prime configuration's dense laser battery down to just two weapons, cruising at 76 km/h and topping out at 119 with a 210-metre jumping capability carried over from the base. Where the Prime carries paired ER medium lasers and an ER large laser in the arms, an ER small laser in the right arm, a Streak SRM 6 in the right torso, and an ER medium laser in the head, the M configuration mounts only a Rotary AC/2 in the right arm and an ER Large Laser in the left torso. CASE II sits in the right torso, a fitting absent from the Prime's equipment list, and the heat-sink count falls from 12 double to 10 double. Both configurations share the rugged, field-serviceable frame and the same 315 XL fusion engine, and the type is built by Arcadia BattleMech Plant CM-T15 along with other manufacturing sites.
