Goliath GOL-3S

The Goliath GOL-3S is an 80-ton assault, a 3066 rebuild of the 2652 original that swaps out the GOL-1H's sniper armament entirely. Where the GOL-1H carried a PPC and paired LRM 10s and machine guns split across both torsos, the GOL-3S mounts an LB 20-X AC in the center torso, an ER Large Laser and an LRM 10 together in the right torso, and ER Medium Lasers in the front left leg, front right leg, and head. An Artemis IV fire-control system and CASE sit in the right torso alongside the ER Large Laser and LRM 10, neither present on the original. The 320 fusion engine gives way to a 320 light fusion engine, and the heat sink count drops from 17 single heat sinks to 10 double heat sinks, with cruising and top speed unchanged at 43 and 65 km/h. Both Defiance Industries and TharHes Industries build the type, the former at Hesperus II.
