Emperor EMP-8L

The EMP-8L rebuilds the Emperor as a 90-ton juggernaut, cruising at 32 km/h and topping out at 54, matching the pace of the 2442 EMP-1A despite trading its 325 fusion engine for a smaller 270 fusion plant; Triple-Strength Myomer lets it push to a boosted 54 km/h cruising speed under combat heat. In place of the twin AC/5s the EMP-8L carries a pair of LB 10-X AC autocannons in the same arm locations, and where the original spread three medium lasers across the left torso, right torso, and head, this variant concentrates a Plasma Rifle and two Medium Re-engineered Lasers entirely in the left torso. CASE now lines the right torso and a Guardian ECM suite sits in the center torso, neither present on the EMP-1A. Stealth armor replaces the primitive plating of the original, and 12 double heat sinks stand in for the earlier 10 singles. It remains a command 'Mech, and StarCorps Industries builds it at Menke.
