The CGR-1A9 is an 80-ton assault whose 3034 rebuild trades speed for firepower against the 2665 original. Where the CGR-1A1 relied on five small lasers and a 400 fusion engine cruising at 54 km/h, this configuration swaps in medium lasers in the left arm, right arm, left torso, and right torso, adds an LRM 20 in the right torso, and keeps only a small laser in the head. The lighter 320 fusion engine drops cruising speed to 43 km/h and top speed to 65, but the design now carries a jump capability of 120 metres that the original lacked, and its heat-sink count rises from 10 to 22 single sinks. The mixed loadout blends short-range laser fire with longer-reaching missile support rather than settling into one engagement band. It carries over the easily-serviced design of the earlier model, and Luthien Armor Works builds it at Luthien alongside production at Ramora.
