Recognition notes
The CGR-1A5 rebuilds the Charger into an 80-ton close-in juggernaut, where the CGR-1A1 was built as a scout. A lighter 320 fusion engine replaces the original's 400, dropping cruising speed from 54 to 43 km/h and top speed from 86 to 65 km/h. In place of the five small lasers scattered across the arms, torsos, and head, the 1A5 mounts an AC/20 in the right torso, twin SRM 6 launchers in the left torso, and a medium laser in the center torso, keeping only a small laser in the head. Heat-sink count rises from 10 to 13 single sinks, and the design remains an easily-serviced machine, refitted by Earthwerks Ltd. at its Grand Base and Tikonov lines.
