Recognition Notes
The CPLT-K5 is a 65-ton skirmisher built on the same 260-rated engine as the CPLT-C1, but swapped to an XL configuration and paired with endo steel structure in place of the standard frame. Where the 3058 rebuild's 2561 ancestor carried an LRM 15 in each arm, the K5 mounts an MRM 30 in the left arm and another in the right, and its four medium lasers give way to a pair of medium pulse lasers in the center torso. CASE now lines both the left and right torsos, and a C3 slave unit sits in the head. Heat sinks drop from 15 single to 12 double units, and the type keeps its minimal, weapon-pod arms without hands and its fragile head. Yori 'Mech Works builds the CPLT-K5 at Al Na'ir.
