Recognition notes
The STG-5R is a 20-ton scout that fights close in, a 3067 rework of the 2479 STG-3R sharing its cruising speed of 65 km/h, top speed near 97, and 180-metre jump. Where the STG-3R carries a pair of machine guns and a medium laser across both arms, the STG-5R strips the right arm down to a single ER medium laser and adds a Rocket Launcher 15 in each torso, leaving the left arm without a weapon. Ferro-fibrous plating replaces the STG-3R's standard armor, and the type keeps its rugged, field-serviceable frame and cramped cockpit. Detroit Consolidated Mechworks builds it at its Detroit factory, alongside production at MacLeod's Land and New Vandenberg.
