Recognition Notes
The PNT-12KC is a 35-ton sniper rebuilt from the brawling PNT-8Z of 2739, trading its close-in loadout for stand-off firepower. Where the 8Z carried a Large Laser and an SRM 4, this configuration mounts an ER PPC in the right arm and a Medium Laser in the center torso. Endo steel structure and Inner Sphere ballistic-reinforced armor replace the standard structure and armor of the original, and eleven Clan double heat sinks stand in place of the 8Z's fourteen single sinks. A boosted C3 slave unit sits in the left torso, and the refit keeps the same 140 Inner Sphere fusion engine, cruising at 43 km/h with a top speed of 65 and a 120-metre jump. It is produced as a field refit at various sites rather than by a dedicated manufacturer.
