Lightning LTN-G16S

The Lightning LTN-G16S is a 50-ton fighter flown as a dogfighter, rebuilt around an XL engine in place of the LTN-G14's Fusion plant. The nose Autocannon/10 and Medium Laser give way to a Heavy Gauss Rifle and an ER Medium Laser, and each wing now carries an ER Medium Laser paired with two ER Small Lasers where the LTN-G14 mounted a single Medium Laser apiece. The aft Medium Laser is replaced by an ER Medium Laser in the same position, and standard armor covers the hull where the LTN-G14 wore Primitive Fighter plate. Ten double heat sinks cool the design, down from the LTN-G14's thirteen single heat sinks. Lockheed/CBM Corp. builds this variant at Tharkad, in place of Tengo Aerospace's Sarna line for the original.
