Recognition Notes
The Lightning LTN-G16D is a 50-ton fighter flown as a dogfighter, rebuilt around an XL engine in place of the LTN-G14's fusion plant. The nose autocannon/10 is gone, replaced by twin Rotary AC/2s alongside a Medium Laser, and each wing now carries an ER Medium Laser paired with a Medium Pulse Laser rather than the single Medium Laser the LTN-G14 mounted there. A Medium Laser still covers the aft arc. Armor changes from Primitive Fighter to Ferro-Aluminum, and heat sink count falls from 13 single heat sinks to 11 double heat sinks. Lycomb-Davion IntroTech builds the type at New Avalon.
