Champion CHP-3N

The Champion CHP-3N is a 60-ton heavy skirmisher, a 3052 field refit of the 2602 CHP-1N, cruising at 54 km/h and topping out at 86. Where the original fought armless, this version adds minimal weapon-pod arms without hands, each mounting a Large Laser. A 300 XL fusion engine replaces the standard fusion plant, and double heat sinks replace the single type. The SRM 6, twin Medium Lasers, and LB 10-X AC in the torsos carry over from the CHP-1N, along with the twin Small Lasers in the center torso and the Artemis IV fire-control system in the left torso. It is built as a field refit at various sites rather than a single factory.
