Champion CHP-1Nb2

The CHP-1Nb2 is a 60-ton heavy, a 2737 rework of the 2602 Champion that swaps its close-in battery for a stand-off pairing: a PPC sits in the left torso and a Gauss rifle in the right torso, replacing the CHP-1N's SRM 6, twin medium lasers, LB 10-X autocannon, and twin small lasers. The Artemis IV fire-control system carried in the original's left torso is gone. Endo steel internal structure and double heat sinks replace the standard structure and single heat sinks of the CHP-1N, though the ferro-fibrous armor, the 300 fusion engine, and the 54/86 km/h cruising and top speeds carry over unchanged. The armless configuration remains the type's defining silhouette, and Bergan Industries still builds it at New Earth.
