Axman AXM-5N

The AXM-5N is a 65-ton heavy skirmisher, a 3148 rework of the 3048 AXM-1N, built on the same 260 Inner Sphere XL fusion engine and cruising at 43 km/h with a top speed near 65; Triple-Strength Myomer lets it push to a boosted cruising speed of 65 km/h under combat heat, and a single jump carries it 120 metres. In place of the Large Pulse Laser, the left arm now carries an ER PPC, and the three Medium Lasers in the right arm become ER Medium Lasers. The center torso's AC/20 is swapped for a HAG/20 in the right torso, where Inner Sphere CASE II replaces the earlier CASE, and a Guardian ECM suite occupies the center torso. Light ferro-fibrous armor plates the frame in place of the standard ferro-fibrous armor, and a hatchet is mounted in the right arm. Johnston Industries builds it at New Syrtis.
