Recognition notes
The WSP-8T rebuilds the Wasp scout around reach and speed, where the WSP-1 of 2464 fought with only a Medium Laser at close range. In place of that laser it mounts a Light PPC in the right arm, and adds an MML 3 in the right torso. A lighter 120 XL fusion engine and endo steel structure lift cruising speed from 54 to 65 km/h and top speed from 86 to 97, and jump range extends from 150 to 180 metres. Standard armor replaces the WSP-1's primitive plating, and the ten double heat sinks replace the original's ten single sinks. The type is noted as an easily-serviced design, and Detroit Consolidated MechWorks builds it at Detroit, with production also at Sian.
