Recognition Notes
The WSP-3W is a 20-ton scout, a 3050 rebuild of the 2464 original that trades reach for close-in firepower. Where the WSP-1 carried a single medium laser in the right arm, this variant fields a small pulse laser in the same limb, backed by a small laser in the left torso and another small laser in the left leg. Ferro-fibrous armor replaces the base model's primitive plating, and the cruising speed climbs from 54 to 65 km/h, with a top speed near 97 and a jump range of 180 metres, both improvements over the WSP-1's figures. The chassis is noted as an easily-serviced design, and Achernar Battlemechs builds it at New Avalon.
