Recognition Notes
The WSP-7MAF is a 20-ton scout, a 3071 rebuild of the 2464-vintage WSP-1 that trades reach for speed on top of speed. A lighter 160 XL fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 54 to 86 km/h and top speed from 86 to 130 km/h, and its jump range grows from 150 to 240 metres. Endo steel internal structure and standard armor replace the WSP-1's standard structure and primitive plating, and the heat sinks are now double rather than single. Where the WSP-1 carried a single medium laser in the right arm, the 7MAF fields an ER medium laser in the same location and adds an MML 5 in the left torso. Detroit Consolidated Mechworks builds the type at its Detroit plant, with production also underway at Sian and Taurus.
