Wasp WSP-3L

The WSP-3L is a 3067 rebuild of the 20-ton scout that first flew as the 2464-vintage WSP-1, keeping the class's role at close-in range while updating nearly every system. An endo steel skeleton replaces the standard framework, and a stealth armor system replaces the original's primitive plating. Where the WSP-1 carried a single Medium Laser in the right arm, the WSP-3L fields an ER Medium Laser in that same location and adds a Rocket Launcher 10 in the right torso. A Guardian ECM suite now sits in the left torso, and the cruising speed climbs from 54 to 65 km/h, with top speed rising from 86 to 97 km/h and jump range extending from 150 to 180 metres. The type is noted as an easily-serviced design, and Majesty Metals and Manufacturing builds it at Canopus IV, with other firms producing it elsewhere.
