Ostsol OTL-8E3

The OTL-8E3 is a 60-ton skirmisher, a 3149 rework of the 2694 OTL-4D that keeps the original's laser-heavy broadside but sharpens every mount. Where the OTL-4D carries a Large Laser and a Medium Laser in each torso, the OTL-8E3 replaces them with a Large X-Pulse Laser and a Medium X-Pulse Laser in the Left Torso and again in the Right Torso, and the two rear-facing Medium Lasers in the Center Torso give way to a pair of rear-facing ER Small Lasers. An XL fusion engine and Triple-Strength myomer replace the standard fusion plant and standard myomer, holding cruising speed at 54 km/h and top speed at 86 km/h while adding a boosted cruising speed of 76 km/h under combat heat. Ferro-fibrous armor replaces the OTL-4D's standard plating, and the heat-sink count rises from 16 single to 17 double. The type keeps its low, hard-to-target silhouette, and Robinson Standard BattleWorks builds it at Robinson.
