Ostsol OTL-8E

The OTL-8E is a 60-ton heavy that fights at medium range, cruising at 54 km/h and topping out near 86, matching the pace of the 2694-vintage OTL-4D it descends from. In place of the Large Laser in each torso it carries a Large X-Pulse Laser, and the paired Medium Lasers in the left and right torso become Medium X-Pulse Lasers in those same locations. The two rear-facing Medium Lasers in the center torso are replaced by ER Small Lasers, also rear-facing. An XL fusion engine and ferro-fibrous armor replace the original's fusion engine and standard plating, and the heat-sink count rises from 16 single to 17 double. The type keeps its low, hard-to-target silhouette, and Robinson Standard BattleWorks builds this version at Robinson.
