Osteon B

The Osteon B is an 85-ton assault fielded as an alternate configuration to the Osteon Prime, trading that config's four Improved ATM 9 launchers for a mix of energy weapons and a melee blade. Where the Prime mounts an Improved ATM 9 in each arm and each torso, the B carries an ER Large Laser in the left arm and another in the head, an Improved Heavy Large Laser in each torso, and a Large Vibroblade in the right arm. The heat-sink count rises from 10 double to 18 Clan double, and the chassis moves on a 255 Clan XL fusion engine, cruising at 32 km/h and topping out at 54. Clan ferro-lamellor armor covers the reinforced Inner Sphere structure, and the type is built by Kerensky Memorial Manufacturing at Strana Mechty.
