The Mad Cat (Timber Wolf) (Bounty Hunter 2) is a 75-ton heavy brawler that fights close-in, cruising at 54 km/h and topping out near 86, with a 90-meter jump capability the Prime configuration does not have. Where the Prime configuration's left arm carries an ER Large Laser and ER Medium Laser, this configuration mounts a Large Pulse Laser alone, with a targeting computer in the same arm; the right arm trades the Prime's ER Large Laser and ER Medium Laser for a pair of ER Medium Lasers. In place of the Prime's LRM 20 and Medium Pulse Laser, the left torso holds three SRM 4 racks and an AP Gauss Rifle, along with a coolant pod. The right torso, where the Prime fields an LRM 20 and Machine Gun, instead carries three Streak SRM 4 launchers, an ER Small Laser, and an AP Gauss Rifle. Heat sinks drop from the Prime's 17 to 15 double units, and the type has a fragile head. Wolf Clan Site #2 builds it at Strana Mechty in the Wolf Enclave, among other sites.
