The Mad Cat A is a 75-ton heavy that fights at stand-off range, cruising at 54 km/h and topping out at 86. Where the Prime configuration carries an ER Large Laser and ER Medium Laser in each arm, this configuration mounts a single ER PPC in the left arm and another in the right. In place of the Prime's LRM 20 racks and paired machine guns, the left torso holds three Medium Pulse Lasers and the right torso carries a Streak SRM 6, with an ER Small Laser in the center torso. The configuration runs 20 double heat sinks against the Prime's 17, and shares the same fragile head and ferro-fibrous armor. Kallon Weapon Industries builds it among several other Clan production sites, including Strana Mechty in the Wolf Enclave.
