Recognition Notes
The HBK-7S rebuilds the Hunchback as a 50-ton striker that fights close-in, a role shift from the HBK-4G's juggernaut brief of 2572. Where the original mounted a single AC/20 and paired medium lasers, this refit fields four ER medium lasers split two to each arm and adds a pair of SRM 6 racks in the side torsos, with a TAG unit in the head replacing the small laser. A 300 XL fusion engine and endo steel structure lift the cruising speed from the base model's 43 km/h to 65, with a top speed of 97 km/h and a supercharger in the left torso pushing it to 130 km/h when engaged. The Right Torso carries a Bloodhound active probe and the Center Torso an Angel ECM suite, additions absent from the HBK-4G, and both arms retain their reinforced battle fists. As a field refit it carries no fixed manufacturer, being assembled at various sites.
