Grand Dragon DRG-9KC

The DRG-9KC is a 60-ton heavy that fights as a skirmisher, a 3071 rebuild of the 3024 DRG-1G original. Where the DRG-1G carried a PPC in the right arm, this variant fields a Snub-Nose PPC in the same location, and the LRM 10 in the center torso gives way to an MML 5 in the left torso. A C3 Computer (Master) sits in the right torso, tied to a C3 master computer, and a 360 XL fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 54 to 65 km/h and top speed from 86 to 97. Light ferro-fibrous armor replaces the standard plating of the DRG-1G, and the medium laser in the left arm and the rear-facing medium laser in the left torso carry over from the original. The type keeps its low, hard-to-target silhouette and stands as a stable firing platform, and Luthien Armor Works builds it at Nykvarn rather than Luthien.
