Grand Dragon DRG-12K

The DRG-12K is a 60-ton heavy that fights at stand-off range, a 3147 rework of the 3024 DRG-1G built on a 360 Inner Sphere XL fusion engine that lifts cruising speed from 54 to 65 km/h and top speed from 86 to 97, with a supercharger-driven Inner Sphere MASC pushing sprint to 130 km/h. In place of the PPC in the right arm it carries an ER PPC, and the medium laser in the left arm and the rear-facing medium laser in the left torso are replaced by Medium Pulse Lasers in those same locations; the right torso's medium laser is gone from the loadout, leaving the LRM 10 in the center torso as the sole holdover weapon position. Inner Sphere endo steel structure and Inner Sphere light ferro-fibrous armor replace the standard structure and armor of the DRG-1G, and Inner Sphere CASE II lines the left torso. The type keeps its low, hard-to-target silhouette and stable firing platform, and Luthien Armor Works builds it at Luthien.
