Gladiator GLD-9SF

The GLD-9SF is a 55-ton skirmisher, a mixed-tech rebuild of the 2468 primitive GLD-1R for the 3143 battlefield. Where the GLD-1R carried a pair of medium lasers in the left arm, this configuration mounts a small pulse laser and a fluid gun there instead, and its right arm trades the old large laser for an ER PPC fitted with a PPC capacitor and a Clan targeting computer. The right torso adds an SRM 4 and a pair of flamers, backed by Clan CASE II, and lift hoists sit in both torso sections. A lighter 220 Inner Sphere light fusion engine and Triple-Strength Myomer let the design push its cruising speed to 65 km/h under combat heat, and standard armor replaces the GLD-1R's primitive plating. The reinforced head cowl carries over on the chassis, and StarCorps Industries builds the type at its Son Hoa works.
