Fafnir FNR-6U

The Fafnir FNR-6U is a 100-ton juggernaut that fights close in, cruising at 32 km/h and topping out at 54. Where the FNR-5 paired ER medium lasers with twin Heavy Gauss Rifles and a head-mounted medium pulse laser, this 3081 rebuild swaps in an Ultra AC/20 in each arm and stacks four Light PPCs across the side torsos, two per side. The light fusion engine replaces the standard fusion plant of the original, and light ferro-fibrous armor takes the place of the standard plating, while standard internal structure replaces the endo steel frame. Heat-sink count rises from 10 to 12 doubles, and the Guardian ECM suite carried in the FNR-5's center torso is absent here; CASE remains in both side torsos. The design keeps its minimal, weapon-pod arms without hands, and Defiance Industries builds it at Hesperus II.
