Cicada CDA-4A

The Cicada CDA-4A is a 40-ton striker that fights close in, a 3150 rebuild of the 2740 CDA-2A scout. Where the CDA-2A carries a Medium Laser in each torso and a Small Laser in the center torso, the CDA-4A swaps in a Medium VSP Laser in the left torso and another in the right torso, with a Medium Re-engineered Laser in the center torso. Endo steel structure and ferro-fibrous armor replace the CDA-2A's standard structure and armor, and double heat sinks stand in for the earlier single type, while a lighter XL fusion engine of the same 320 rating frees tonnage for a supercharger in the right torso that pushes sprint speed to 173 km/h. The armless configuration carries over from the original, and Westover BattleMechs builds the type at its Westover plant.
