Cicada CDA-3MA

The CDA-3MA is a 40-ton striker rebuilt from the CDA-2A scout of 2740, trading the earlier machine's reconnaissance role for close-range punch while keeping the same 86 km/h cruising speed and 130 km/h top speed. An extra-light fusion engine replaces the standard fusion plant, freeing weight for a Snub-Nose PPC in the left torso alongside a Medium Laser there and another Medium Laser in the right torso. The Small Laser in the center torso gives way to a Small Pulse Laser, and the ten heat sinks are now double-strength rather than single. Like its predecessor it retains the armless configuration, and Gibson Federated BattleMechs builds it at Gibson, with additional production at Westover BattleMechs.
